DAY 01: MUSCAT ARRIVAL

On arrival at Muscat International Airport, you will be transferred to Hotel. Overnight stays in Muscat.

DAY 02: MUSCAT

Today will be Leisure day for you. Overnight stays in Muscat.

DAY 03: MUSCAT – AL HAMRA

After Breakfast, Check out from your hotel in Muscat and drive to the village of Al Hamra through date palms, sparkling springs and pass the Fort at Nakhl. Continue towards Wadi Bani Auf on a stretch of graded road which is very adventurous & for the physically fit only as it involves steep bends and bumpy roads. Visit the charming mountain village of Bilad Sayt and enjoy the beauty of the landscape. This 70 km stretch of road continues to the village of Al Hamra famous for its date plantations. Dinner and overnight stays at The View. 'The View' is located in the Jabal Shams Mountains at Hail al Shas. The Eco Luxe accommodation is remarkable with its wonderful panoramic view of Al Hamra, Bilad Seit and Bahla.

DAY 04: AL HAMRA – ALL HOOTA CAVE –JABRIN - JEBEL SHAMS

After Breakfast, proceed to Al Hoota Cave near the ancient silversmith town Nizwa and the world heritage site of Bahla. It is one of the largest cave systems in the world and was opened to the public in 2006 for the first time. By turning a "time wheel," watch the continental plates move in the course of time, grow stalagmites in a virtual cave, see how different climatic conditions affect the development of Karst, or see how the Hajar mountain range was formed. The geological formations and life-forms dwelling in the cave can be explored through a microscope. Visit Jabrin, the finest of Oman's castles built in the late 17th Century. It became a seat of Omani learning. Admire Omani ceiling painting and beautifully executed woodcarvings. After a photo stop at the Bahla Fort, head for Jebel Shams, stopping at the terrace farming village of Wadi Ghul. Drive to Wadi Nakher. In the Jebel Akhdar range, Jebel Shams is the highest peak, which offers a spectacular view. Overnight stays in “The View”.

DAY 05: AL HAMRA –WAHIBA SANDS -BEDOUIN HOUSE – DESERT NIGHTS CAMP

After Breakfast, check out from “The View” and drive to the famous 17th Century Round Tower Fort and its Souq renowned for its Friday Cattle auction, intricately hand-carved "Khanjars" (daggers) and ornamental silver jewellery. Drive east via Izki, Sinaw souk and Mudhaybi to the Wahiba Sands, a vast mass of undulating red and white sea of sand and dunes rising up to 200 meters, host to a variety of flora and fauna. Drive towards the dunes whose ever-changing patterns are a photographer's delight. Visit a Bedouin house in this wilderness. Check in at the Desert Nights Camp. In the evening around 1700 hrs proceed for a Sunset Camel Safari for 1½ hrs including soft drinks and light snacks. Overnight stays in the Desert Nights Camp.

DAY 06: DESERT NIGHTS CAMP – SUR - RAS AL JINZ

After Breakfast, check out from the Night Camp and have experience the thrills of dune driving before departing for Sur. Proceed to Wadi Banid Khalid comprising small pretty villages embedded in the mountains. The Wadi has clear water. Continue to Sur and visit Dhow Building yard. Visit Sinacila fort before heading towards Ras al Jinz. Check in at Ras al Jinz Scientific and Visitor Centre. At night, take a short walk to the beach with the ecologist to watch the nesting of turtles. Overnight stays in Ras Al Jinz.

DAY 07: RAS AL JINZ – MUSCAT

After Breakfast, Check out from the hotel and proceed to Muscat via the ruins of Bibi Miriam's Tomb at Qalhat village. Stop at Fins Beach for a swim and then at the Bimah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with blue green water. On a clear day see sharks in the deep blue water along the coast or fleet footed Gazelle sprinting across the landscape. Proceed to Wadi Arbayeen with its refreshing deep pools of water set among the date palms. Return to Muscat by 1700 hrs and check in at Hotel and overnight stays in Muscat.

DAY 08: MUSCAT – DOLPHIN & WHALE WATCH

After Breakfast, transfer to the Marina to embark on a boat to look for dolphins and whales that can be found just a few km from Muscat's rugged coast. Not every trip guarantees a sighting, but you will enjoy the trip out to sea. Afternoon will be leisure for you. Overnight stays in Muscat.

DAY 09: MUSCAT DEPARTURE

After Breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Muscat International Airport for your return journey.
