DAY WISE ITINERARY

DAY 01: NELLIYAMPATHY HILLS ARRIVAL

On arrival at Coimbatore International Airport, Coimbatore by Morning, you will be greeted by our Representative and then you will be proceed to a popular Hill Station in South India called Nelliyampathy Hills, also called as “ Second Ooty” by Road (140 KM / 03:30 Hours).

This Hill Station is located in Palakkad District in Kerala, South India and is famous for Orange, Passion Fruit, Tea, Coffee and Pepper Plantations and is also declared as one of the best preserved forests in South India as part of Western Ghats Sector in Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Nelliyampathy Hills is one of the rare Hill Stations in India, where we can see many plantations with forest boundary.

En Route to Nelliyampathy Hills, you will be passing through forest road, hair pin curves and few view points. On arrival at Nelliyampathy Hills, you will be transferred to your pre-booked Plantation Resort for check-in process. Today, you will be getting leisure time. You can relax at resort or you can go for Guided Plantation Trekking. Overnight stays in Nelliyampathy Hills.

DAY 02: NELLIYAMPATHY HILLS - Today’s activity

Orange Farm – View Points – Forest Walk –Night Safari

After breakfast, you will be going to explore Nelliyampathy hills. You will be visited Orange & Vegetable Farm- Spread over 339.1185 hectares of land, the farm is a major tourist attraction. It also operates a retail outlet where 91 different varieties of fruit-based products, including Orange, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Guava, Jam, Jelly etc.  

After this, you will be visited Seethargundu View Point, Kesavanpara View Point, Poab’s Tea Estate View and AVT Tea Estate View. You will be getting an opportunity to walk / trek through thick forest to reach Kesavanpara View Point from the parking area, where you can see the beauty of Pothundi Reservoir located in the down valley of Nelliyampathy Hills.  Later you will return to resort. You will be getting leisure time.

DAY 03: NELLIYAMPATHY HILLS- POTHUNDI DAM- MUDUMALAI - Today’s activity

Pothundi Dam visit – Mudumalai Forest Main Road Jeep Safari

Today, after breakfast, you will check out from your resort in Nelliyampathy Hills and you will say BYE to this beautiful Hill Station and then you will be visited Pothundi Reservoir at the down valley of Nelliyampathy Hills, where you can see the magnificent beauty of Western Ghats and a mud dam, constructed during British era. Later you will proceed to Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary (270 KM / 06 Hours). This Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu, South India. The area 103.24 Km2 of Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary was declared as Mudumalai National Park in the year of 1990.

A variety of habitats ranging from Tropical Evergreen forest, Moist mixed deciduous, Moist Teak forest, Dry teak forest, Secondary grass lands, Shrubs and Swamps exists here.
The park is ideal home to several endangered and vulnerable species including Elephant, Tiger, Gaur, Leopard, Deer, Wild dog etc.  There are about 200 species of birds in the park, including White romped vulture, Long billed vulture, Red crest, Mynas, Parakeets, and Owls etc. 13 % of all mammal species in India are present in Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary.

DAY 04: MUDUMALAI- BANDIPUR - MUDUMALAI - Today’s activity

Guided Bird Watching Tour (06:30 AM- 08:30 AM)

Today, You will be getting ready for a Guided Bird Watching Tour inside Forest area. You will be started from your resort by 06: 30 AM and will go through the forest area and you can watch variety of birds which the naturalist explains you and after this tour, you will return to your resort by 08:30 AM.

Post Breakfast:

Masinagudi Tea Plantation Tour (10:30 AM – 12:00 PM)

Bandipur Jungle Safari (02:00 PM – 05:00 PM)

DAY 05: MUDUMALAI –NILGIRIS - MUDUMALAI - Today’s activity

Nilgiris Grassland Walking Tour- Shopping at Ooty (06:00 AM- 05:00 PM)

By early morning, you will be going to visit the hidden gems of Nilgiris by Walk. You will start from your resort by 06 AM and you will reach the starting point of this tour by around 07:30 AM.  You will enjoy the splendor of the undulating Hills and Grasslands of Nilgiris with a professional Guide till noon. Afternoon, you will be getting an opportunity for shopping at Ooty Town. You can visit Tibetan Market for vibrant clothing, ethereal materials, rich shawls etc. You can also purchase handmade chocolates, aromatic oils, tea powders etc from local markets. Later you will return to your resort. Overnight stays in Masinagudi.

DAY 06: MUDUMALAI- MOYAR RIVER - Today’s activity

Moyar River visit (06:00 AM- 07:30 AM)

Today, early morning you will be getting ready to visit Moyar River side area by around 06:00 AM, where chances are more to spot wild animals (especially Elephant) to drink water during early morning. You can try your luck!

Post Breakfast:

After breakfast, you will check out from your resort in Masinagudi and you will proceed to Wayanad- “The Green Paradise” of Kerala (150 KM / 03 Hours). En route, you will pass through Forest Main Roads.

On arrival at Wayanad by Noon, you will be transferred to your pre – booked resort for check- in process. This afternoon, you will be getting leisure time at your resort. Overnight stays in Wayanad.

DAY 07: WAYANAD - Today’s activity: You can select any below option as per your convenience

Option A: Forest Hike – Cycling – Bamboo Rafting (09 AM- 04 PM)

This 07 Hours activities includes Hike through the forests of South Wayanad  as you follow a path to the mountain streams, Pedal through the scenic landscapes or take the mud trails if you seek an adventure, Hop onto bamboo rafts and paddle your way through the river- an adventure to remember. After this tour, you will return to your resort. Overnight stays in Wayanad.

Option B: Jungle Safari at Muthanga Sanctuary- Kuruva Island

Muthanga Sanctuary: (07 AM- 08 AM)

You will explore the rich biodiversity of Muthanga Sanctuary, Spot wildlife in their natural habitat, Capture perfect shots, bird watch or just enjoy the beauty of the forests. After finishing Muthanga Safari, you will be going to visit Kuruva Island - a cluster of small islands formed by the delta in the River Kabini and later you will return to resort. Overnight stay in Wayanad.

Option C: Walking Tour through Jungle - Paddy Fields – Kabini River (09 AM- 03 PM)

DAY 08: WAYANAD - Today’s activity: You can select any below option as per your convenience. Timings can be varied

Option A: Cycling- Speed Boat- Mountain Stream (08 AM- 03 PM)

You will be getting ready for a thrilling Bicycle Ride towards Tea and Coffee Estate by Morning. After this you will be boarded speed boat to reach an Island and then you will be going to hike to reach a Mountain Stream. Later you will return to resort. Leisure Time. Overnight stays in Wayanad.

Option B: Hiking / Walking to Evergreen Forests –Rivers (09 AM- 04 PM)

You will be going to hike / walk to one of the richest evergreen forest areas in Wayanad and you will be passing through cloud forests, rivers, forest settlements, paddy fields and Biodiversity hotspots in this tour. Later back to your resort. Leisure time. Overnight stays in Wayanad.

DAY 09: WAYANAD- NAGARHOLE - Today’s activity: Kayaking- Motor Boat Safari through Kabini River

Today, after breakfast, you will leave this beautiful destination and then you will proceed to Nagarhole - derives its name from naga, meaning snake and hole, referring to streams. The park was an exclusive hunting reserve of the kings of the Wodeyar Dynasty, the former rulers of the Kingdom of Mysore. It was set up in 1955 as a Wildlife Sanctuary and later its area increased to 643.39 KM. It was upgraded into a National Park in 1988.

On arrival at Kabini in Nagarhole Sanctuary (80 KM / 02:30 Hours from Wayanad) by around 12:30 PM, you will be transferred to your pre-booked resort for check-in process. Later you can enjoy some resort activities – Cycling, Indoor and Outdoor Games.

01 Hour Kayaking (03:30 PM- 04:30 PM) – 01 Hour Motor Boat Safari (05 PM- 06 PM)

DAY 10: NAGARHOLE - Today’s activity: Morning Jeep Safari (06:30 AM- 07:30 AM); Start from Resort at 06 AM

Today early morning, you will be getting ready for day activities: You will be going for 01 Hour Jeep Safari through Nagarhole Forest. For this, you will start from your resort by 06 AM. Safari will start by 06:30 AM at forest main gate.

You can try the possibilities to spot Wild animals during this Safari. After this safari, you will return to your resort for breakfast.

Boat Cruise to Bheemankolli (10:30 AM- 12:30 PM)

After breakfast, you will be going for a 02 Hours Guided Day Tour to Bheemankolli – a small peninsular encompassing a few hundred acres of old growth trees and palm oil plantations. A Boat Cruise, Nature Walk and Heritage Temples are all part of the tour. 

DAY 11: NAGARHOLE - Today’s activity

01 Hour Motor Boat Safari (06:30 AM- 07:30 AM)

Balle Elephant Camp Visit (10:00 AM- 12:00 PM)

01 Hour Joy Boat Ride –Half an Hour All Terrain Bike Ride near Resort

Today, you will be going for an Early Morning Boat Cruise by 06:30 AM and then you will return to resort for breakfast.

DAY 12: NAGARHOLE DEPARTURE

Today, after breakfast, you will check out from your resort in Kabini and then you will proceed to Bangalore. On arrival at Bangalore, you will be transferred to Kempegowda International Airport (KIAL) for your return journey.
